Rescues

Read before applying:

Rescue dogs are not perfect and are not for everyone. Some have temperament complications while others may suffer from health ailments. They all need a loving and forever home, however leadership skills are a requirement for a rescue dog as well.

If you are interested in adopting a rescue dog, please complete our application while providing us with information about yourself, your experience with rescues as well as what issues you may or may not be interested in taking on. All inquiries missing this information will not be answered.

Wherever possible, home visits will be done to ensure that both the dog and family are adjusting well. Due to this policy (and due to the sensitive nature of some rescue dogs), our rescue dogs must be homed locally or within driving distance when temperament issues are present. We rarely ship rescue dogs.

Terms of Sale

Our puppies are ready to go home at the age of 8 weeks. Please review our Purchase Agreement for full guarantee & terms of sale details. Please note that purchase agreements are subject to change.

Our puppies are:

  • available to approved families;

  • sold with a spay/neuter contract;

  • raised with Puppy Culture;

  • held for 48 hours upon a verbal agreement of sale pending payment.

  • CKC registration;

  • microchip;

  • veterinarian health certificate;

  • intestinal worming treatments;

  • first round of vaccinations;

  • lots of kisses, care & socialization with children, other dogs and visitors.

My Love & Passion

Bringing Lagotto Romagnolo puppies into your life can be a tremendously joyful and fulfilling experience. The experience also becomes rewarding as you watch your puppy grow and learn new things. A puppy is a lifetime commitment and a decision that should not be entered into lightly.

As a breeder, my puppies are the offspring of my own beloved pets and I adore all of them. Finding forever homes for my puppies is bittersweet. I am thrilled to have them in wonderful homes but it’s difficult to see them go.

I expect each of my forever homes to become a part of my extended family. I expect to hear periodic updates about how your puppy is doing and I love seeing photos. I offer unlimited support and guidance throughout your puppy’s lifetime.

I understand that life circumstances may change at times and if you are ever unable to keep your puppy, it is expected that your puppy should return to Fiume Kennels.

My definition of a breeder extends much farther than simply breeding animals. The utmost care and standards are considered before any breeding takes place. Consideration must be given to the health of the prospective parents, their temperaments, their health testing, the breed standard and much more. With so much time, effort, care and love invested in this endeavor, seeing my puppies leave is a challenge. This challenge can only be overcome with the knowledge and confidence that the little beings that I brought into this world are going caring, loving and permanent families. When considering placing a puppy in a new home, I like to ask lots of questions and have a questionnaire that I ask all potential puppy families to complete.
